House Things

Well, with the help of a dear friend, we got pretty much our whole apartment packed up on Saturday. Now it looks really pretty depressing, there are no more pictures on the walls, no dishes in the cabinets and just stacks of boxes all around the apartment. It is exciting though because it means closing time is soon-this Friday hopefully! They still have to put on the new roof-it has been really rainy here so there hasn't been an opportunity to do it. But it is supposed to clear up the next few days so hopefully it will get done! I am not quite sure what will happen otherwise. . .
We picked out some paint for the living and dining rooms and also some for the bathroom. I got some curtains, we still need more but I had to use my Bed Bath and Beyond coupon before it expired! I am going to make some for the guest bedroom and then get more to match the ones I got today (for living and dining rooms). Things are coming together, and I can't wait for this weekend. I have everyday starting from this Friday planned out of what we need to do each day, things like change the locks, measure the windows for blinds, paint, clean, etc. I definitely feel overwhelmed at times, but generally excited. If only I didn't have to work for the next week or so, then I could really get a lot done. But if we stick to our schedule, we should be able to get lots done and work too!
