I got inspired reading my sister-in-law's blog where she wrote 100 things that you may or may not know about her. So I am going to try it for myself! Here are 100 things that you may or may no know about me!
1. I really like monograms
2. My favorite drink is Diet Dr. Pepper.
3. I really like being tall, except when pants are too short. I measured my inseam the other day, it was 33 inches! But at least I know and now I can get the right length of pants.
4. I have always wanted a dog, but we never had one growing up.
5. I really like to bake and cook, but I feel like I don't have enough time to do either of them (well I cook dinner every night but that doesn't count in my mind).
6. I am getting into sewing and really like that too but don't have a lot of time for that either.
7. When I was a kid, a hippopotamus pooped on my head at the zoo. I promise, it is true. See, it was in a cage type thing and I was standing pretty close to the bars of the cage. Then it began pooping and it shot out onto my head. I am not making this up at all.
8. I met George Bush senior at his place in Maine, Kennebunkport.
9. I only really like to read text books. I try reading regular books but just don't have good luck with those. I always fall asleep.
10. I also usually fall asleep during movies. Sometimes it is planned (like when I agree to go to a movie with Nelson that I don't want to see) but most of the time, it just happens.
11. And because of that I usually don't remember movies after I watch them. But that happens with movies I have really enjoyed too. Nelson gets a kick out of quizing me on them.
12. I grew up about a ten minute bike ride from my grandparents and spent a lot of afternoons and weekends at their house. We loved having dinner there and eating a bowl of ice cream (usually chocolate chip or cookies and cream) while watching the Wheel as the true Wheel of Fortune fans call it. Those are some of my best memories from childhood.
13. James and I got into a lot of trouble when we were kids. It usually involved fireworks, waterguns, walkie talkies, etc. But I promise we have changed our ways now.
14. We also really wanted a Sega Genesis. My mom said the only way we could have one was to save up our own money to buy it. We thought we would collect aluminum cans from the neighbors to turn in for money. James thought it was a good idea to tell the neighbors that I was collecting cans for my girl scout troop (I didn't even belong to one) because he thought that more people would give us cans that way. The neighbors told my mom and so that was the end of our collecting money for a Sega. We never got one.
15. One of my favorite snacks growing up was burnt cheese. We would get it at the pool snack bar. It was really awesome.
16. Growing up we would watch Sesame Street and eat either a box of raisins or a piece of cheese while waiting for my dad to come home. I can't eat raisins without being transported back to those times.
17. I went to four different colleges. First Samford, then Missouri Baptist, then Covenant and while at Covenant, I also took classes at Maryville. But at least I graduated from one of them.
18. I really love bagpipes. Whenever I hear them they give me goosebumps.
19. I hate the word "moist"
20. Blue is my favorite color.
21. I have always thought Texas was a cool state. Probably because one of my favorite cousins lived there. But I think God was getting me ready to marry into a family of Texans.
22. I really want a pair of cowboy boots.
23. I was a cowgirl for about 5 Halloweens in a row.
24. I slept with a stuffed animal and blanket till the day I got married. My mom made me leave them at home. She said I wasn't allowed to take them on the honeymoon. Sometimes when I am at my parents house, I go upstairs just to visit Poly and my blanket.
25. I love the organ and choirs.
26. I cry a lot (like Steph). I cry during church, during movies, TV shows, at my desk at work (not because of work-usually thinking of something else).
27. I hate libraries.
28. I have a theory that libraries are just a drug operation and that they store dead bodies. Why else would it smell so bad in there?
29. My favorite meal is a hamburger, salad and corn.
30. My favorite sport is basketball. I really miss playing it.
31. I can bend both my thumbs back to make a right angle with itself.

34. I really do not like breakfast food especially for other meals in the day.
35. I do not like fruit in my dessert. No banana pudding, peach cobbler, or apple pie.
36. I talk to myself out loud a lot. People usually stare. I try to play it off all cool, but it usually doesn't work.
37. I think I have the world's best brother.
38. I am usually a clutz, I trip a lot, drop things a lot, run into the wall.

50. Wow, I made it to 50! I am not sure how I will come up with 50 more things to say!
51. I went to a high school where we didn't have locks on our lockers. A friend of mine and I would sneak out of study hall and climb into some of the empty lockers for fun. One time the principal of the school came by as we were doing that. He just laughed at us and was glad to know we fit in there.
52. The most rebellious thing I did in high school was to change the clock on the wall and tried to convince the teacher class was already over and it was time to go.
53. I used to get kicked out of English class in 9th grade all the time for talking.
54. I really love old people.
55. I can never really decide what I want my hair to look like,
56. I really love a big salad.
57. I really like cold weather. My ideal day would be snow outside, a fire in the fireplace inside, and a movie with Nelson.
58. I like roller coasters but I do not like the feeling of losing my stomach.
59. I like to be in bed and asleep before Nelson fall asleep. I think it is a security thing.
60. Nelson is giving me suggestions for what to write in here and most of them I literally just typed.
61. I like the smell of gasoline.
62. I really like tall argyle socks.
63. I really love to fly and hate to take road trips in cars.
64. When I buy gasoline, I really like to go inside and get a drink or some gum. I feel like I am supporting the gas station for having good gas prices.
65. I ran cross country my senior year of high school. It was a good experience except that the summer before I went to Haiti and got the Haitian Happiness (similar to Montazuma's Revenge) which continued to affect me during cross country season. So sometimes when I was doing training runs, I had to stop and spend a little time in the bushes before I could go on.
66. I ran about four races before I actually finished one. Not from the Haitian Happiness but because I passed out during each of them. I don't remember any of it except according to people who saw me, first I started running like I was drunk, then I started talking really crazy, and then I passed out.
67. We went on to finish 2nd in state, so it all turned out ok.

76. I get excited whenever the time is 10:28 because that is my birthday.
77. My mom, brother and I have the same birthday (10/28-post 76). My brother and I are three years apart. I was born at 6:21 in the a.m. and he was born at 6:21 at night.
78. My dad is 58 years old and still makes a list for his birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, etc. In fact, there is a perpetual list on their fridge that he leaves up there in case anyone ever needs to get him a present.
79. My favorite actress is Julia Roberts.
80. My favorite movies are anything with her in it.
81. I have always wanted curly hair (not because of Julia, just made me think of it). I once got a perm (I was in college, probably should have been past that stage). I don't think it looked so good. But that being said, I am still tempted to get one today.
82. I have a rule that I always need to live very close to a Walgreens. It is my one-stop-shop.
83. It is actually more than a one-stop-shop to me. It is actually more like an anchor in my life. Let me explain. When I went away to college, my freshman year was really hard. But whenever I went into a Walgreens, (which was not enough because I don't remember there being a Walgreens nearby) it brought back the feelings of home. Most Walgreens are the same, laid out the same, smell the same, etc. So it was like a safe haven for me, I knew everything would be ok when I went to Walgreens. When I transferred schools, there was a Walgreens really close to the school. I would go in there just to help ease any home sick feelings I had.

89. Sometimes I say one thing but think I am saying something else. Example- When I was younger, we were at my grandparents. We were talking about how my grandmother does not like to swim. We were joking that if she got a bikini then she would like it. then I said "yeah and you can get a nipple ring!" only I thought I was saying belly button ring. I repeated it over a few times to the shock of everyone in the room until I finally realized what I was saying. It was rather embarassing.
90. I hate surprises. Unless I am completely surprised, then it is ok. But if I have any inclination that something is happening, I really don't like it.
91. I used to peek at all my presents growing up. Like I said, I don't like surprises.
92. I also like to skip to the end of the book to see whose names are still left if I am worried someone will die.

Wow, I learned that we are even more alike than I realized! Reeses! Mixing up chocolate syrup and peanut butter (signs of a chef-to-be?), Dads calling us Emmylou (but no one else ever being allowed to say it for fear of being punched)! Sometime we will have to sit down and talk over your list. I feel inspired to write my own, but since I don't have a blog, I'd have to do it on facebook, and I'm not sure I want all my facebook friends knowing that much about me.
wow. Emily, this is quite a list. I think I might have to do one myself. I was laughing out loud for some of them. haha.
