The stars aligned- the weather cooperated, Tripp managed to stay healthy and he got to run his first race today! It was in Forest Park, just a 1/4 mile out and back. Seeing that we are new to this whole kids race thing and we were heading to church afterwards, we were a little dressed up for the occasion but we still had a great time (Tripp wasn't dressed up, just us)! Apparently parents are allowed to run with their kids so Nelson and Tripp ran together (Nelson in his flip flops of course) and Lily and I were the cheerleaders.
