Nelson's mom came to visit this weekend and it was wonderful. Tripp was a little bit shy at first (it only lasted about 15 minutes- 15 minutes too long for all of us) but as soon as that was over, he couldn't get enough of his Nana.
Tripp was having such a good time with his Nana that he developed a plan to get her to stay. He decided that he would get sick starting on Sunday morning. Just a little fever so that no one would be suspicious of his plan (he added in some vomit on Sunday afternoon, but hey, that is not too out of the ordinary).
But come Monday, he decided not to eat or drink much all day and around 4:30 in the afternoon, he pulled out the big guns- a high fever (to the tune of 104.9 and rising after he had gotten Tylenol all day long). So with that kind of fever, his mom had to call the doctor, who after some questioning, said it was time to go to the ER. Of course his mom lost it and began crying (all part of the little boy's plan) and his Nana felt so bad that she attempted to change her ticket and stay one more day. By the time the little boy got to the ER, his fever was above 105 and his parents were really worried! "Nana has to stay now," he thought. Well, Southwest Airlines foiled his plans when they said it would be pretty pricey to change the ticket. So instead of his plan working, this little boy's Nana had to leave while he was in the waiting room of the ER with parents who were a little stressed to say the least. Good thing his other grandmother lives in town and could stay with them while he got hooked up to an IV, threw up some more, got medicine, cried lots and eventually got his fever down. Now while this little one is doing much better today, he is still quite disappointed that his Nana did not get to stay for longer. I guess he will just have to be content with seeing her again in just a few weeks!

Oh, NO! Oh Tripp, feel better SOON!
I'm so glad Tripp is feeling a bit better! What a crazy weekend. I think he seriously needs some time with Aunt Steph and Uncle James. That will cure any sickness! :)
Oh my word! I'm glad he's feeling better.
