As soon as I saw
this recipe for Honey Buns in my Martha Stewart Living magazine, I knew it was time for husband appreciation part two. Nelson would eat breakfast for every meal of the day if he could. Me, on the other hand, would eat lunch or dinner for every meal of the day if I could. So that naturally causes a little bit of a dilemma at times. Usually this is resolved by a visit to First Watch where I can order lunch and he can order breakfast. But today I thought I would surprise him with a breakfast for dinner (it's not like we never have breakfast for dinner but I can probably count on one hand the number of times we have in our three years of marriage). So I did some baking this afternoon and here is how it all went:

Kneading the dough (thank goodness for a stand mixer otherwise I would have been kneading for a long time)

Dough rolled out and filling is spread on

Rolled up

Cut into individual rolls and rising again

Cooked and ready to eat!

Nelson's dinner (complete with Vitamin D milk-his favorite)
